People will run away from a head scratcher.LOL.
Well the things that I told you to do for your pimples is applicable for dandruff. One extra care is that don't use hair oil or creams. Instead use hair conditioner to keep your hair healthy. Wash your hair with a ketokenazol (ingredient) shampoo every other day. Don't drink Milk. Keep away from curd, yoghurts, cheese & egg.

It will just stick around if you don't get rid of it. Nothing bad will happen other than the fact it can be itchy. I used head & shoulders and it worked for me.

The person who said the thing about dandruff becoming head lice is incorrect. Dandruff is simply flakes from a dry scalp; lice are bugs that trasmit person to person.
