how to track estranged Grandfather in uk?

I have his uk passport no. his national insurance no. his citizenship papers from way back 1964. Please somebody help me to find him, i want to know how he is, whether is he still living. I'd be really grateful.

UK is relatively small. Try personal ads in the newspapers. You might also consider Interpole.
