EXAMPLE:
Man number 1: This man is feeding the homeless, providing clothing to those who have none and praying discreetly and reverently to God for his aide.
Man number 2: This man is knocking on doors saying "We are right. If you do not join us you are in danger of going to hell. It is all here in this book."

Personally I find man number 2 a bit pushy and probably not listen to him. I am a Christian but I find this intrusive and more likely to push others away from Christ.

How about Man 3
Man number 3: This man is feeding the homeless, providing clothing to those who have none and praying discreetly and reverently to God for his aide. He is also open to sharing the gospel with his friends and family, while trying to be sensitive to the fact that not everyone wants to hear or accept it.

I would go with man number 1. But only because Man 2 is going about telling others the wrong way. Jesus said go door to door and preach the good news so all may hear and come to God through Jesus. But he specifically said to use reason and the scriptures to do so, and the second man is only trying to scare people into it. Followers of Jesus would do both things whenever possible (that you put as your examples) but would do it much more peacefully and with reason than the second man did.

Well, considering no man will ever get to believe in Christ, I'll play your game, well, man #1 and #2, are the same man. He does feeding the homeless and then try to convert us to Christianity.

I'm for Man number 1. By the way, he'd get a lot more done for the poor if he was hitting the phones instead of praying. I'm sure Christ would forgive him.
And by they way, those who think good works without faith are useless are themselves useless to those in need.

Has anything in your life inspired you to accept Jesus as your savior? I accepted Jesus when I was 11 years ago by a young man carrying a bible in his hand, and showing me the world of God. I accepted Jesus that day, and he did not push me into it. You are either going to accept Jesus of your own free will, or you won't. If you dont want to hear the word of God from someone. That someone is to to this...
Luke 9:5 And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.
Now if someone is feeling as if they are being pushed, it is God Himself who is doing the pushing on your heart to call upon His son Jesus name, and not the christian who was a witness for Him. So if you feel pushed, it is by God Himself.

Prove to me there is a God and I will "consider it". Doing good deeds and or threatening me on behalf of a God does not mean anything to me. I could do the same things the men above and be praying to a care bear.

Number 1 sounds like someone that really is a good person. But I would never change my religion for anyone. I was born a Jew and I will die a Jew.
