The success of any decorating scheme depends on how well it suits all the members of your family. To create a décor that you will be happy with, think about what you want and also what you don’t want.
It’s a good idea to know what you have before you begun to change things. As you begin to pull your design ideas together, think about your preference and what will work in your home.
Color can work wonders... it can change the look of a room and change your feeling about the room. You can start by looking through magazines, and catalogs. Give yourself plenty of time, it will take longer than you think, and your ideas will develop as you go.
Gathering samples is a great way to begin. If you are starting with a color, your samples might include fabric, paint chips, wallpaper, carpet, wood, stone, and tile.
Knowing what you can spend on a project will give you a clearer idea of what you can achieve. If you’ll on a limited budget, mark off those things that will make the most difference, such as a new wall color and a new sofa.
You can set the mood of a room in lots of ways, such as lights, and furnishings. There are no hard or fast rules or must-do sequence for this process.

Hi There!
Painting is the quickest and cheapest way to get a new start on decorating your room. Pick a color that you love and start with that. I'm sure you could go to the mall and find some good posters to start decorating with. Take the posters and cut the outlines out instead of putting just a plain rectangle shape on the wall.
You can go into a place like Michaels and find all kind of ideas to add to your room also. It is alot of fun and once you get started you won't want to stop. Ask your friends for advice. Take their advice or don't that's up to you! Do something FUN!!!!
Are you artistic? Use your own talent to draw or paint with also. Be creative and do something totally different than your friends have and they will envy your room!

Try moving your furniture around first. Either block out the light from windows or allow it to come in more. (Basically whatever floats your boat)
Get some new curtains and bedding. Try Black Lace Drapes.
Get a Red silk bedspread with some black satin sheets. It will give your room a dark feeling.
Take fishing hooks, paint them black and attach them onto a metal pole and hang it on your wall. Use it to hang necklaces and bracelets.
Good Luck with jazzing up your room!

paint the walls funky colors, and hang posters and stuff that you like- but don't just hang them straight, do it at an angle or something to make them more interesting to look at. Get some weird rugs and stuff to put on the floor too, like I had one that looked kinda like grass growing. Make it your own!

Hey there, one idea, get some photos of friends, family, favorite skaters, etc., crop them (cut them) and put them in clear or colored CD cases, then put them on your walls in a cool pattern. CD cases aren't that expensive now at Wal-mart. Have fun!

Off yourself. If you are letting fashion bone you up the asshole, off yourself. It is the only way to make sure you don't **** up humanity.
