Proverbs 12:24 - Diligent hands will rule, but laziness ends in slave labor.

Proverbs 21: 5 - The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty.

I've been looking at bible sayings about money and thrift and work, etc. What do you think of these verses?

Those scriptures talks about working verses being lazy. This scripture talks about money...

1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Same thing about if you give a man a fish you feed him for a day but teach him to fish and you feed him for life. Why should society support the person who doesn't want to work when they are capable of working.

The proverbs alll say that man should work for his food and not take handouts. That is just my thoughts.

I think they are good, there is one that says if a man doesn't want to work he shouldn't eat-not sure where it is in the Bible, but I like that one too

We have to understand as people that nothing comes free. God blesses us with the ability to work and we need to do that thanking him for the ability to do so. Those who prefer to sit on their cans and not work are going to reap what they sow. Also, every ability and gift comes from God. Some can't work and so we need to consider those when we do and help those with food and clothes who can't.

They are true!!! When have you seen a lazy person getting rich and being blessed? if they are too lazy to work, they will steal, sell their bodies, drugs, gamble, or collect well fare and remain in their hole in life. Of course all those doing illegal things will suffer consequence. God wants to provide our needs and when we live to his will, he will bless us with our hearts desire.

Good sayings. You never saw a successful business owner start his business by sitting on his butt watching T.V.
