This girl meets a guy who lives in another state. They date as he makes plenty of trips to see her in her state. They hit it off after a year and she feels confident enough to move in his home because he asked her to and told her he wants to build a future with her.
Then after a year the relationship starts to go bad because he turns into this complete jerk and wants to control her and even though she was good to him and tryed the best she could to make him happy, he calls the police to escort her out of his home where she doesn't know anyone, has no place to go and may possibly be in danger of her life because the area is known for crimes.
Would the police protect her til her family comes for her or will they say it's out of there hands? Would this be considered illegal that this guy is putting her life in danger since he made her promises and then just threw her out knowing she could die?

The police will not protect her unless she is threatened.

This is not illegal. The girl better have a back up plan. She should have made friends too. To be that much into 1 guy is WRONG! It's the girls fault for accepting the guy's behavior and letting him control her.

If this girl is not this guy's child, he is not legally liable for her welfare. Not in the way you are suggesting.
If she is already on the street, it can't hurt to ask the police if there is any place safe for her to go, they should be able to give you info, but that is all.
If she has any money, she might want to consider a bus trip home, they aren't terrbly expensize, and relatively safe if you stay in the stations and stay around the groups of people. There maybe a church or other organization that might help to buy the ticket also, the police stations all have this info, or should.

I don't know the legalities of that...but my brother has always been a bit of a schmuck...and has done this to girls in the past.

It is very sad. It is horrible. And it confirms the schmuckiness of my brother. Since my mother lives in the same town, she has often swooped in and helped the girl get back on her feet and back home to where ever home is for her.

Unfortunately, though, it comes back to the school of hard knocks. Don't move in with a guy unless he is willing to make a marital commitment, so that you will have some rights, too. If marriage isn't your bag, then be savvy and think ahead. Have a job lined up or some kind of rescue or back-up plan in case things don't work out.

I know it's too late, now...but maybe remember for future reference.

For now....see if you have friends or family in your hometown who can come and get you and help you move back to your hometown.

the police has no obligation to protect you, go to a good area and stay at a hotel until your family comes for you. the guy who threw you out has no fault if you die after the police escorted you out of his house

The police won't protect the lady unless the man has made threats and wnats to hurt her. Being an adult and getting kicked out of your boyfriends house is not illegal and the police would expect you to act like an adult and take care of yourself.

The police would not protect her. She is not in any immediate danger. The girl is nieve to believe in anyone that much anyway. I apologize if it is you. But in this situation, the girl should definetly call for help now, before it turns ugly, or gets any worse.

Hmmm....I would suggest leaving on your own terms before he gets the chance to throw you out.

That way you have a plan and it's in your control.

Call your family tell them you need money to get home, pack your stuff while he is at work and go home.
