Another thing you can try is have your highlights or streaks put in the under layers of your hair. That way they be hidden or brought out for show as much or as little as you want depending on how you style your hair.
I like two-tones... a blonde and a nice warm red. Very chic.
But I would really suggest going to a salon... that way you'll be happier with the results as they can play it into your style better and give you options.
Cheerios!

Try a light caramel highlight in your hair, and make sure that the highlights aren't too chunky. The key is to not look like you have these strategically placed highlights in your hair so that you look like a skunk. I bet you'll look great! Good luck!

Get caramel blondish highlights. Or maybe red if you want to be a bit more subtle with it. You could do it yourself, but if it's your first time I'd suggest going to a salon and having them done for you so that you can make sure to get the right color for you.

I suggest a caramel color, or auburn highlights. I had highlights put in this past Saturday. My hair is red, and I got blond and auburn...looks great, and i've gotten a lot of compliments. =) Trust your hairstylist.

Use the one that has a plastic cap on it and just pull the amount of hair that you want to highlight.

HIghlights are pretty lousy. Guys generally don't like the drastic color changes at all. If its moderate slight color change it can look not too bad.
But no matter what the style is nearly out of date.
