i have been thinking about getting my hair cut for a while now.... during 8th grade.... sometime that year.... i had pink tips on my hair..... that faded and I got them cut off..... so now, my hair is plain black.... and growing out..... I am ready for a new style..... The front's length reaches right underneath my chin..... and i wand to get my hair cut to mid-neck lenghth, and get layers..... Also I have been thinking about a new wild color..... i'm leaning towards GREEN, but my bf says "no way!" should i go against what he thinks for my own style's sake???? what does EVERYONE THINK?????? send me a message with your opinion PLLLLLLEEEEEEEZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! soooooooo, i've gotten some answers but i need more to narrow it sown.... I got Red, Green and Electric Blue that i like....
plez dont suggest pink/red/purple.... i already did that, and dont want it again

Green is amazing! I'm doing green. Special Effects, Iguana Green. Then I'm going to try Limelight. I was debating between Green and Purple. But seriously, green is an awesome color and it's great. I'm getting the whole bottom half of my hair bleached and dying it, not just the tips. If you don't want something as crazy, there's always red or pink. I still like green is the best though!
Btw, I'm Asian so I have black hair. My friend has Limelight in her hair and she's Asian too and it looks awesome!

Green???? Nope..wouldn't do it. That's a bit to weird. Keeping your length & adding layers sounds really stylish. I wouldn't go to short. Add the layers & only take an inch off or so. It will make a big difference just have your layers. Too short w/layers won't show as much as having a little length w/your style.

I would get a good razor cut. Green is a little wild for me but if you really like it go for it. Your boyfriend should except you for who you are. If he would prefer another color let him make a suggestion but if he is totally opposed to your fashion sense then I would do it anyway then he can deal with it or not. My suggestion for black hair would be red or purple tips but that is just me.

Do what ever you want with your hair girl. May be a hair cut with highlights in different colors could be cool. But this is something you need to decide. Is your hair and you need to fee comfortable with it.

If you want to do colors (yay!), what I would do is bleach out streaks. I mean BLEACH them out. Then you can put temp dye on them and change the colors as you see fit. Then if you have to go somewhere where funky colors maybe wouldn't be appropriate, then you can just leave the streaks blonde. Good luck!

If you already know what you want than go for it!!! You are the only one that has to live with it and if you are happy than dont let anyone hold you back!!! Dont conform to someone elses sense of style be who you are and express yourself in anyway you feel comfortable and happy. Be original, be unique and be yourself.

I think red looks best with black hair. Green looks ok, but not as good as red (fire engine red).

you should get it cut shorter in the back and longer in the front with purple streaks. HARDCORE BABY!!!

Green on any hair is a BIG NO-NO. BECAUSE YOU HAVE BLACK HAIR I WOULD PERSONALLY GO FOR ELECTRIC BLUE, IT WILL LOOK REAAAALLY NICE.
