I believe so.

If I didn't believe my beliefs were correct, wouldn't it be awfully stupid of me to believe what I don't believe?

I am a Christian.

Because....

The Bible, when subjected to the same standards as any other ancient writings, emerges unscathed and believable.

Archaeology supports many aspects of the Bible.

The independent corrobative evidence for the existence of Jesus (outside of the Bible) is astounding.

I have never found a single thing in the Bible that is contradictory to another part of the Bible. This is amazing, because it was written by several different authors over many years.

In the account of the crucifiction, their are some offbeat comments (ex: Jesus sweating blood?) that seemed farfetched, but modern science and medical studies have proven that the account is mediclly accurate.

The chances of someone fulfilling all of the prophecies of the messiah is something like one in a trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion, maybe a couple more or less trillions, i don't remember exactly. The point is, its nearly impossible. and yet jesus fulfilled them all.

Prophecies in the Bible came true after it was written.

Satanists fight against Christians. Not other religions. Why? becasue satan doesn't want to waste his time fighting non-existent gods.

The gospels of matthew mark luke and john are the earliest accounts of the life of jesus and have remained remarkably unchanged thru the years.

Christians during the reign of Nero were willing to die for the cause of Christ, just offer up their lives, rather than deny Him. People don't generally become willing martyrs for a lie. Savvy?

I've got tons more, if you're interested and willing to be nice, mail me! mck_meg@yahoo.com

If this ticks you off, sorry. You asked why, and I told you. So what are your reasons for NOT believing in God?

Have a great day.

My beliefs are right for myself - no one else. Belief systems are personal even if some don't like to admit that. If you put 10 people of the same exact belief in one room they will all have just a slightly different take on things and, as people are unique individuals that is a good thing.

I of course think my beliefs are right, surely if I thought they were wrong, I wouldnt believe them right?

Outside of the fact that they make sense to me. I feel God has been clear in telling me which was He wants me to go. Even though sometimes I dont go that direction because I like my ideas better, I believe God knows the Truth and will give it to anyone willing to accept it.

My views are right (I think/hope) because they are the result of two thousand years of human discovery. Of course, as the hopelessly religious constantly point out, without a divine force right and wrong are relative to the individual. A humanist is just someone who ties to do the right thing without an overbearing preacher.

Um I am not gona declare that I am right but I will say that I feel that I have been blessed to come to the understanding of Loving God, loving others as I would myself. I hope to treat others right and live life in love. I don't feel that I need to do all the religious things to make me holier than thou cuz I know God looks at the heart not what we do or don't do.

If a person has beliefs then they are right for that person. Does that make them right for everyone else? No. Does that make the person right and everyone else wrong? No. It just means that what they believe works FOR THEM. No need to try to push your beliefs on everyone else.

The answer to that question is yes! I am a Christian and Jesus is the only way to heaven.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

This question answers why we have holy wars. It's one thing to believe you think correctly, but many people feel the need to make others believe as they do in order to validate their beliefs.

Obvioulsy, I believe my beliefs are right. If I didn't, I would change them.

My experience tells me they are probably right, but my experience also tells me they could be wrong. So I don't believe them dogmatically, they are simply the best guess so far.
