I get that too. What I normally do is spend some time, outside if I can, meditating and focussing on releasing the negative energies. Try sitting in a comfy position with eyes closed and slowly relax your body a little at a time. legs, arms, back, neck etc...then picture a light at the core of your body. Picture that light as positive energy and in your mind see it grow and as it grows it pushes the negative energy away from you until you are completely surrounded by this radiant positive energy. It's called "grounding yourself". You can also burn a little sage or any incense that is relaxing in nature like, lavender or eucaliptus.

It's great that you are helping others. Give yourself some credit.
Don't let others make you responsible for their problems though.
Make sure that they are taking responsibility for applying their solutions. Perhaps, wondering about whether or not they'll actually take action, is part of what weighs you down. So, be a good listener, but also insist that they act to solve their problems with a solution that they understand and agree with-- and not just because you may suggest it.
In other words, a teacher who gives a poor math student the correct answers in order to help them pass, also must carry the guilt of not helping the student to learn how to get those answers on their own.
If you don't know how to help someone with a specific problem, still be a good listener, and sometimes they'll come up with the solution themselves. Then, just give them a big pat on the back and tell them to "go for it".
Another thing for you to do is seek the company of others who are positive and strong. You need someone there for you too. Relying on the support of weak negative people can drag you down.
When good support is not around, then make yourself smile. That's how you smile anyway. Also, get outside and take a walk when you feel tired. Get your attention extroverted and recover some space. Walk until you feel better-- you will. Don't take my word for it though. Test it out. Then you may want to add this to your tips for helping others. They may just need a little walk themselves.

Have you ever noticed, when you go bicycling for an hour or so, you come home smelling weird? I think those are the toxic chemicals in your body being release. That's why after a shower you feel great. Perhaps that is one way to get rid of negative energy. Or at least you will fill your lungs with a good amount of fresh air and you will feel good after the exercise = )

I do readings too and know exactly the problem you face.
You need to refresh-recharge and also to monitor your energy level so as to not burn out so much.
There are a number of things you can do...
1. Cut back on the number of readings and counseling sessions. Still do them but not as often until you feel better.
2. Practice Qigong (pronounced Chi-Gong) which is a system of self-healing from China that stems back 5,000 years. It works.
3. Take a nap.
4. Start an excercise program whereby you do low impact aerobic activity for 20 minutes at least twice a week. This will improve your cardiovascular system and increase your energy levels.
5. Avoid eating beef, pork, ham and pork sausage. These contain additives which are nasty to the body (unless the meat is organic) and they are all - in various degrees - hard to digest, which adds to one's fatigue.
6. Take a Green Powder supplement everyday. Like Perfect Food or Verdisyn. These contain an abundance of B-Vitamins which the body uses up when under stress.
7. Avoid soft drinks, cookies, cake, pie, and pastries.
8. Drink bottled or filtered water most of the time.
9. Eat a salad everyday. Make sure that it has lettuce (but not iceberg - as that has zero nutritional value), shredded carrots and celery. Romaine lettuce is good, as is baby spinach. These ingredients greatly aid in digestion and indirectly cut down on fatigue.
10. Use a juicer. Have a glass of freshly made vegetable juice everyday. This cleans out the system and boosts energy levels.
That's a good start.
Feel free to contact me for more advice.

Meditation is the key. Pay close attention to your breathing. On the inhale concentrate on taking in positive energy, and visualize the air coming in through a point approximately 2 inches below the navel; imagine it spreading to all parts of the body. On the exhale concentrate on getting rid of all the negative energy.
Works for me.

You need to leave the demons alone. I used to mess with that stuff, believe me, there's no other way to get rid of it then through Jesus Christ who has the power and gives those who believe in Him the power over principalities. After receiving Christ, I had one experience of God knows what it was, I was too freaked out to look at it, but it spoke to me in some other language. I rebuked it in Jesus' name and I have been freed.

Is there someone you can trust to tell your feelings to? If not maybe seeing a counselor for yourself might help. Alot of professional counselors see a counselor themselves to relieve their negative energy from the sessions they do with their clients.

depends. try meditation; find a quiet spot in your mind and just be
or maybe you should go to the park or somewhere you can appreciate nature and how fortunate we all are to be here.
if youre the more religious type then i would recommend prayer.

surround yourself with positive things... if all you do all the time is listen to problems and read then you will be very depressed... take some time to do fun stuff with fun people... don't let all your time be consumed by people who need help...
