The whole Middle East crisis, or just the latest Middle East Crisis in Lebanon? Hezbollah is dedicated to the destruction of Israel; as long as it is allowed a protected stronghold along the Israeli border, the current situation will continue. The US policy reflects a realistic understanding of the fact that a cease fire will not address the underlying problem.

It is is in America's interest to appease Israel as they are by far and away America's closest ally right in the middle of all these Arab States. America cannot afford to p*ss off Israel so they have Carte Blanche to do whatever they want.

Also the Israeli lobby on the Hill is huge. Very very influential.

Put pressure on!? What does that mean? A band-aid!?.......This can be solved the way it is being solved and that is by war. War is a necessary evil....When the Muslim extremist countries attack us on our shores, streets, cities, and towns to impose their beliefs on us....Are you going to want to wait for some foreign government to "put pressure on them," or kick their A$$!?

No one is beyond a good a$$-whipping........That's life Baby!
