I am atheist so religion doesnt come into this question!
If your town and people are being attacked and killed by rockets and let us say the rockets were being launched from an orphanage which has 50 to100 kids inside (not hostages they live there) what choices do the Israelis have but to bomb the place?? Is there a feasable alternative??.

I do understand both sides - But Israel has this lovely habit of ignoring everyone elses human rights, except its own..

Israel was formed from other countries land - they take! Israel is a rich country - they could buy the land - but no - they want to destroy the resident people..

2 guys get capured - Israel levels a civilian area - Israelis are bullies - I dont agree with the attacks on them - but Hitler killed millions of them in the war - surely they should have learned how to behave in a civilised manner by now...

While I'm an atheist, Sometimes I do wonder how the jews in Germany behaved towards a young hitler - Perhaps his experiences at a young age caused his hatred of them.. Lets hope that the jews of this age dont create another hitler - That would be the end of everyone!

Ground troops would be far more effective than bombing 50 kids to kill one guy with a mortar. The problem is from the attacks Israel has launched it would seem their goal isn't just to take out hezbullah.

everyone seems to have forgotten that just before the fist soldier was kidnapped israeli helipcopter blew up a woman and child on a beach. Apparently it was an accident. This tit for tat killing goes back to biblical times, their arch enemies, and when one enemy has one of the most powerful armies around you fight back with what you have.

Hezbollah wanted to trade them for some that are held in Israeli jails (there are thousand of Arabs there). So my answer is give diplomacy a chance and save many innocent lives.
