You have to be to believe that pack of hilarious lies in the Bible. Grimm's Fairy Tales are more credible.

I'm a practicing Catholic, and I'm not gullible. One reason why I'm not gullible is because I didn't believe you when you asserted that religious folks are gullible.
Many Catholics and other Christians are former atheists. They made a conscious decision that God exists and that His Son Jesus died for us. They made this decision after many years of questioning, thinking, and pondering the reality and meaning of life.
I know this because I'm one of them.
Besides, modern secular culture always pushes on people the idea that the here and now is the most important thing, and that God isn't to be given much thought if any at all.
Lots of people fall for this "push" hook, line, and sinker. I'd say these folks are the gullible ones.

You can surely get away with fooling gullible Christians who could never stand to think that a man who was so honorable that he told his father the truth about chopping down a cherry tree could be anything other than a pious Christian. Such people are just begging to be lied to; thus, numerous shysters stand in a long line, each awaiting his opportunity to fleece the flock while the pickin's are good (such as right after a national disaster launches the people into a flag-waving frenzy of antiatheistic patriotism)

In my opinion, yes. In that gullibility is being easily tricked into believing things, and faith is believing in something that has no concrete evidence, then yes, at the heart of the matter religious people are gullible. That's not necessarily a bad thing.

we all fall for a line some time i our lives
How many of us are taken in, by the lies, given to us ,before we vote a politician into grand office.
If it makes you happy , i firmly believe in Santa Claus and ---- yes and the tooth fairy.
;O))
Are we gullible or are we gullible.
LOL!

Gullible means INNOCENCE......so what is wrong w/that?
Oh to be thankful for a life of innocence and the heart to believe the words of a Living Bible, a letter from a Living, Loving G-d....
not what we can do, but what He has done for me and you............we are saved by the Blood of the Lamb!

I agree that 'faith' can lead to people to the irrational. For example, when Bertrand Russell claimed that the universe was eternal [a position held byHawkings] and it was pointed out to him that this was a reductio ad absurdum fallacy he said, "well, I can imagine an infinite regress." Of course he could not, but, his faith in his own obviously irrational belief system clouded his mind. Hard to beleive on of the founder of modern symbolic logic coul dbe 'gullible' too, but it's true.

Based on their actions I would have to say yes. They put Bush in the white house. If they fell for his lies than they will fall for anything. Too gullible to think for themselves.

But NOT the one's that Stay Away from the Church
Everyday,MORE & MORE Christians are Leaving the Church,& Going Back to GOD !
From experiance , I've Learned 2 things and that is:
1.)Keep-your-Religion/Beliefs- to Yourself!
It AINT nobody elses Business what you choose to Believe! and what others Believe ,...Aint None of your Business!
2.) D.A.D.T!!!(Dont Ask,&Dont Tell!)

not really; everyone has a desperate need to believe that there's life after death. it helps people deal with relatives/children/spouses/parents who have died. The whole point of religion is to deal with death, and if it makes a person feel better, then there's no reason why they shouldnt believe.
Besides, you have to believe in something, even if that something is nothing. It's all faith
