In wikipedia, Cheers is a very common phrase used before sharing a drink with someone. In most dialects of English (except American), it is commonly used to express gratitude, to wish someone good health, or offer a toast.

But when asked to a drunker about this word's use, he said that as we have 5 sense organs, its smell is for our 'nose', its addicting taste for our 'tongue', the glass is media between hand (skin) and wine, its seducing color to our 'eyes', but our poor ears get nothing from the whiskey. hence the word 'cheers' is used to satisfy the 'ears'.

Beer is an ancient recipe, it has been around a long time. The Romans had perfected a Stout recipe during the time of the Ceasars... Beer became a drink of royalty. It was considered rude, and even illegal by some Ceasars, if you took a royal drink without "cheering" the ruler himself.

I cheers before every round of new beers or with every shot. Try to touch everyone's glass if possible. The reason that we, my friends and I, give cheers is to celebrate life and to be thankful to be in such good company. Plus it's fun and seems to make your buzz better. Cheers!

The act of clinking glasses is not usually considered a toast, but it is a custom that often accompanies it. The explanation for the practice varies; some say that by touching glasses you try to spill wine into the glass of your partner, ensuring that no one (or everyone) is poisoned, while others claim that the clinking sound is intended to drive away evil spirits.
