I'm running WinXP SP2 Home on a Presario SR1720NX.

I'd like a step-by-step guide, if possible.

ISO files can be mounted to softwares. Following are some of those softwares.
Alcohol 120
Deamon tools
These softwares emulate a virtual DVD rom and it can be seen on your My computer. When u run the software u can see the virtual DVD rom name tag. when u right click on it the is an option "mount image". when u click that one u will give a browsing window so browse to the isofile and double click. it will automatically mout the iso image to the virtual dvd rom. Now go to My computer and open the virtual DVD rom where u can access the files of the ISO image.

You can emulate a drive using Daemon Tools and load the ISO file onto a virtual drive.

An ISO document is for burning an image onto a cd - burning application has stuff that makes the image: even as it truly is burned to cd, then you really have an operating cd, which incorporates a sport for installation, even an operating gadget for installation. there is not any element in getting a application which will allow you to seem into the document: as quickly because it truly is burned to cd, properly, there the stuff is.

Goto www.download.com
Then find Utilities > Compression
There are many ISO Loaders (this is what you want, an ISO LOADER). They will come with a user readme guide. It comes with all the help and necessary information to DIY.
