Buy them a trendy mouthwash and say how 'great ' it makes YOUR mouth feel, you just had to share it with them........It could be medical you know, I think they call it halitosis or something like that.

They shouldn't have bad breath to begin with if they have good oral health. (i.e. brushing regularly, flossing, mouthwashing).
