You could offer to apologize to her. Tell her that it sounded funny when she mispronounced Hide and that is why you were laughing. She admires you and wants in some ways to be like you ....popular, smart, pretty, etc. For her it was embarassing, she is already starting to go through the change from child to teenager. Remember how hard this age was for you? Offer to do something with her, just the two of you and help her through this stage and remember that you probably didn't like to be laughed at in front of others either. When I was in high school, if someone dropped their books on the stairs, there was a very loud yell of "Frosh."

You were wrong. Turn the tables, what if this had happened to you. Go tell her you are sorry for laughing and that you were not laughing at her, you know it was a slip of the tongue and it has happened to you. Then forget it and never bring it up again.

well being the younger sister in my family i know how she feels. you should apoligize to her. if you still wanna look "cool" in front of your friends then just tell her sorry when no one is around. give her a hug and make it up to her somehow... buy her an ice cream. im sure you will fight with her many more times... but it will get better once you grow up... im 21 and my sister is 23 and we get along just fine now... good luck.

i would just try to talk to her..tell her you sorry and you didnt mean to embarass her infront of your friends. let her know everyone makes mistakes like that. tell her something that you did where you embarassed yourself or make somethin up. just make her feel better. even try to make her laugh. and keep tellin her how sorry you are and how bad you feel. once you apologize ask if she can forgive you.
i had to do this. my best thing is to tell somethin stupid i've done and make them laugh.

Little sisters are always trying to impress us with their knowledge... I think your sis was just trying to fit in...
I think you reacted in a big sister kind of way... Just as I did when I was young... lol
You're not wrong and neither is she... It's just the life of sisters:)
Give her a hug and tell her to go watch Care Bears... :) lol

Your sister took it the wrong way. Perhaps you should explain it
to her. Also mention that neither you are your friends think any
less of her because of the incident.

She's your sister, and you really shouldn't have embarrassed her. but I know lil sisters and brothers can be annoying sometimes though. So I would try and tell her you are sorry and include her to do something with you and your friends.
