Is it worth buying an old beamer? It runs good, but the paint is not in good condition..I'm buying it at around $3,100-$3,300...but will it be more expensive in the long run? say if in the future it needs something changed will it cost more since it's an old car?

Older cars will need to replace parts, because they're already used. They wear out faster. Foreign car parts are more expensive because they're made overseas, and the government charges a higher import tax. The stores, then pass that on to you. Also, auto labor charges are at an all time high. If it was parked outside, judging from the bad paint, it may have rust, which is'nt good. What I'd do, if I were you, is take the $3300, put it down on a new, or one to two year old SMALL car, and make payments. Payments should be low because the downpayment was high. You'll build up your credit rating, and the insurance will be a lot less expensive for a small sedan, than a bmw.
