This is kind of gross, so I apologise in advance. Recently, like over the past few weeks, I've had to run to the bathroom everytime I eat a meal to open my bowels. It happens every time I eat a meal, about 5 minutes after I've started eating I get these really bad pains in my stomach and then I have to go to the bathroom and I have a bowel movement, usually quite soft, sometimes diarrhoea, and then the pain goes away.

I'm on a strict wheat free diet and have been for 3 years because I was having problems with bloating and constipation and they discovered I was allergic to wheat. I'm worried I might be developing another allergy to something else - it's hard enough cutting out wheat.

Does anyone know what might be wrong with me or what I can do to make it better?

you poor thing.
i get exactly the same thing and mine is because of a gluten and lactose intolerance.
i think you should go back to your doctor to make sure there is nothing else you cant eat.
with the symptoms you have (mine are the same) i think this is the most likely reason.
hope you get better soon x

I agree with most comments above. You may have colitis right now...you need to see the doctor. You probably do have new allergies. Just remember one allergy is an indicator for new allergies. IBS is a general term for what you are describing but that doesn't solve the problem. You need to address the allergen. Change the diet and get off regular foods till you are better. Remember that this problem can get worse over time. Don't wait.

See your doctor. Sorry.

You may have a parasite called "Blastocystis Hominis". It's a nasty bug that is very difficult to eradicate. Although my problem isn't as severe as yours, it wouldn't hurt to look into this. I have had many problems with my intestines over the course of my life and am now seeing a Natural Path. She has me on a series of herbs to change every two weeks as the parasite can adapt and become immune. She also sent me to a MD for a prescription to use as well to help kill it. I'm on the 2nd week of stage one....I am hoping for the best. I've had it for years and just recently found out about it. Not only does this give you intestinal problems, it also messes with your nervous system creating fatigue, "brain fog" (the ability to lose concentration) and a high sugar craving. The bug lives off of sugar.

In order to find out if you have it, you will need to send a few samples of your stools into a diagnostic center.

Click the links below and see if any of this pertains to you.....most of the time it is MISDIAGNOSED as IBS (irritable bowl syndrome).

Hope this helps you and good luck!

:)
Peace!

oh dear, that sounds very uncomfortable for you. No kidding go see your doctor and get a referral to a gastrointerologist who specializes in this area. I thought I have problems with my bowels but you just reminded me to count my blessings. Good luck and I hope it is nothing too bad. One thought is did you try eating constipating foods like cheese and caffeine? I am not a doctor but I would try that.

Does this happen only straight after a meal ? Just a thought but it could be IBS, check out the link and read the symptoms, if it is IBS then eating many foods can cause problems, along with stress etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc. All the best

My partner has those same symptoms but he dosent like being told what to do so he will need to suffer, it could be irritable bowel, you should get it checked with the doctor just to be sure.

Other than making sure you aren't taking in way too much fiber (for example eating a LOT more fruits and veggies than normal), I don't know. I recommend seeing a doctor because you can't go on living this way!
