Although it is possible to calculate the probability of an earthquake happening at any given time, it is never a sure thing. Its exactly like having a bad weather man. Sure the process is very trustworthy, but you only get accurate reading 10% of the time.
Without a proper source for your information, I will conclude you did not hear this from an expert. So I am not inclined to believe an earthquake will occur other than by chance. Also, where is this earthquake suppose to occur? I would be more likely to believe if it was in the famous "Ring of Fire" pacific area.

There is no way to know if an earthquake will happen on August 25, 2006. Geology scientists still don't know what triggers earthquakes, not really. I live in the general area of the Cascadia Subduction Zone, which is quite active and has been so in the past.
There are "psychics" out there who think they know about these things, but I don't have much faith in them. They're wrong more than they are right.

Well, there is a possibility that it will happen, It would happen in the next 5 minutes.
There is no way of predicting and earthquake on a certain date months from now.
Perhaps that can warn you that it may happen around this date. Though, it won't be much time.
But that's it..

No--my fur gets all weird when an earthquake is imminent, but, as you can see, I look smashing in my new froggy hat. No earthquakes for the next 60 days--at least not in North America.

Samantha - you seem to be terrified that an earthquake is going to strike! But anyplace you live, you're faced with the possibilities of hurricanes, floods, tsunamis, earthquakes, tornadoes, or a volcanic eruption. Earth isn't a safe place...you'll have to learn to deal with it, and have a little faith that you won't become a victim. -RKO-

The Earth is a living organism, taking that into count, there is not yet and exact sience to prediction. In todays science world we can predict a time frame that is not accurate. It is based on activity of past and of future, but not the present time.
Gotta love Mother Earth

If a phsycic told you this, then it is possible...but if someone told you this just to scare you, then I highly doubt it WILL happen...I, for one, do NOT think you're crazy...it IS very possible that an earthquake could happen...we'll just see if it's on the news...(by the way-phsycic's are real...if you don't believe there are any...I know one)

Science cannot YET predict the earthquakes. Once it happens, they can record it etc.. If so, so many lives would have been saved.
