My husband wants to go back to school soon. His grandma has $$ and will pay for all school-related expenses, but we need help covering the time he wont be able to work. It wouldn't be used on school stuff, just to supplement a paycheck for the two years of school. How do I find one??

We are in our 20's, both work full time jobs. When he starts school, he will go to part time and I will stay full time. But we will be out about $1000 a month because of him not working as much, which makes a huge difference.

with your husband not working this may effect how much in grants he could be eligible for. Make sure he does a FAFSA (www.fafsa.ed.gov) and send it to the school of choice. Then he'll get an award letter from them stating how much in loans and grants he is eligible for.

Now, when filling out the FAFSA you'll need to provide 2005 tax information. He probably made a lot more money working than not working so within 10 weeks from the time he makes the job change, contact your financial aid office and say you want to apply for a Special Circumstance. This way they can look at your current income rather than what he made last year.

If you have any ?'s contact me. Good luck!!!!

I would try to stay away from the loans find a job on campus or a part time job i know plenty of people who work and go to school full time it can be done and you will be glad after graduation when you dont have all of the loans to repay
