Your subconscious is trying to sort something out. Help it out by writing down what you can remember as soon as you wake up. Sometimes dreams are brought on by stress, other times by outside stimulus. Are you leaving the t.v. or radio on while you sleep? How's the weather where you are? It's been freakin' hot here in Southern California, and I had a dream over the weekend about a meteor strike. Also, the only dream that you actually get to remember is the last one before you wake up, which is usually a mash of all the dreams you had all night long. It could just be a mix of things that isn't fitting together right.
I don't know how old you are, but if you're over 21 I find that I don't have any dreams at all when I go to bed drunk. Maybe if they're bothering you that much, it could help you reset to have a night off?

Your dreams are images/sounds that are rememerbed by the brain. They are sometimes remembered if they have significance, and if so, are put into the LTM part of the brain. (long term storage). However, at night, you can have up to 8 dreams. But it wont seem it as you only remember a couple, or none at all. But this doesnt mean what you see in everyday life wil leffect you at night - your mind mixes up the images. But dreams can have meanings - try this web page....

If you're waking up without having proper sleep, this will eventually affect your health. Contact a sleep-study program in your area. You may even find this thru a university that is doing sleep study...at any rate, you must get to the cause of this and get some decent sleep

I have read that dreams are the brains way of you making sense of the world. Maybe you have been stressed out or have seen something disturbing within your life and are trying to make sense of it.
Hope it gets better. Maybe you need a rest or a holiday?

if my dreams are anything to go by they dont mean anything
i rarely remember, strange that yours are so vivid
maybe you aneed to get more exercise before bed clear your head properly getting more oxygen pumping see if that helps
dont eat things like cheese or chocolate two hours before bed either they
make your imagination run wild hahah
also try to block it out the brains the most powerful organ in the body
by worrying every night wether it will happen again your simply setting yourself up to have more nightmares

I went through this kind of problem some years ago and it was caused by stress. Depending on what is going on your life you could try de-stressers such as reflexology, warm baths, massages or whatever does it for you. Alternatively see your doctor and see if she can provide some medication.

Whenever I have lots of vivid dreams, it means I have a lot of issues in my life I need to process. Write down your dreams as soon as you can and look at them later and think about what they mean to you.
