Many companies "will" report the same information on the AU's account as they do the primary. But they need your info to be able to report.

Talk to the family member that has added you and ask them to contact the credit card company. Have the family member give your info to the company and request that they start to report on your credit reports.

Don't give up if the rep. claims that it's not possible, ask to speak to a supervisor if that happens.

It will depend on in case you might be joint at the account or simply an legal person. I doubt the bank card organization might do a credit score inquiry on you in both case. If you're made joint, you then might be held accountable for the repayments simply as you mom. The card might be indexed and influence either one of your credit score rankings. If you're simply an legal person, you might now not be held accountable for repayments. Only your mom might be the in charge. The card would look for your credit score document however might now not count number on your credit score rating (the principles converted). Instead of asking your mom to place her credit score at hazard, why do not you're employed on cleansing up your poor credit historical past.

Being an authorized user on someone elses line of credit isn't going to help you. You need to get your own credit card, in your name, under your social security number.
