Christians support Israel only to a point beyond which support won't go. The reason behind that support is to see Israel become weaker as a result of the many, many years of conflict with their Arabic neighbors. When both sides are sufficiently weakened it'll be ONWARD CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS marching into recapture Jerusalem for God (if there is one) Almighty. PEACE!

God still has a covenant with the Jewish people. Israel will be the center of things during the end times. When Christ reestablishes the new earth, He will set up an earthly kingdom in Jereusalem. Jesus Christ being God incarnate was born into this race. Also, the Bible tells us that God blesses those who bless Israel, and curses those who curse Israel.

The land rightfully belongs to Israel and mapped out in the Old Testament that was written thousands of years before the Quran or Muhammem even existed. (Muhammed was about 630-650 After Death (AD) of Jesus)

Speaking for myself; I and others like me support Israel morally. As for the wars - since God himself dictates what and what is not necessary regarding Israel, we do not feel it right to interfere with Israel defending itself and will not.

We believe 100% that Israel arose from the ashes under God's Divine hand. It would be terribly insane that if we believe this that we should go against something God himself has ordained - as recorded in the Bible.

Against vastly overwhelming odds (out-numbered and out-gunned), Israel became a nation in true Biblical fashion. Thats just another evidence.

If Israel does not fight to maintain what God established, then the Arabs would over run them and slaughter Jews left and right. I personally have heard the Arab sentiment in that there will only be peace when Israelis lay down and let them kill them all.

Many in the Middle East believe (using their Islamic beliefs) that the world will not be at peace until every single Jew (man, woman and child) is extinct. THAT is the forces Israel is battling against - people who want to drive them from their home - and once again - God said this would be, and this evil force that surges through Arabia to kill Jews is what (according to Bible prophecy) leads to the battle of Armageddon, and the return of Jesus the Messiah.

This is not a hate of Muslims or Arabs speach - but a assessment of facts I have heard, seen and the middle east trends in relation to the Bible.

Many Christians believe that the Jews are still the chosen people of God and whatever they do is right. While still others like evanglicals believe there must be a rebuilding of the temple in order to usher in Christs return. I guess they have forgotten that as a Christian you are to have no part in this world. To be in support of the murder of any people to me would be against the most basic teachings of Jesus. Christians today have lost all site on who they really need to follow.

I do not personally support any war. But What would you have everyone do support Lebanon?

LES COMBES, Italy (AP) -- Pope Benedict XVI on Sunday renewed his appeal for an immediate cease-fire in the fighting between Israel and Hezbollah guerillas in Lebanon and encouraged all sides to start negotiations.

Not all Christians believe that Israel is right in this war. There are many different views. It is just that some are more vocal and get more press than others.

Because they think if they suck up to the tribe of Israel then god will see them as supporting his chosen people. They are just covering their asses.
