i'm just asking the question, where do they sell these?

Cannabis tax stamps do exist in many states in the US. Possession of marijuana is still illegal, even if you have the stamp; it just prevents a secondary charge of tax evasion.

Each state is going to have its own way of procuring a cannabis tax stamp. Of course, the information is not widely published, and unless you're prepared to dive into the state's administrative code you're probably going to have a tough time finding it.

As said above, the purchase of tax stamps is a protective measure which has only the effect that, in states where such contraband is taxed, those caught with possession of the illegal substance will not ALSO be charged with tax evasion.

So if you don't have the tax stamp, and you get caught, you will be subject to penalties for both possession of the contraband, and for not paying the taxes on the contraband.

If you do have the tax stamp, you'll still be subject to the penalties for possession.

There was originally a federal "marihuana tax" beginning in 1937, but it was declared unconstitutional in 1969 as being a violation of the protections against self incrimination.

If the cases ever got there, the state taxes on marijuana requiring the buying of stamps would also all be found unconstitutional in all likelihood.

If you do want to buy such stamps (perhaps as a very remarkable collector's item) you should check out the tax department websites for that particular state.

You can't. They don't exist. That's why marijuana is illegal. The stamp was just a way for the government to outlaw cannabis, without actually outlawing cannabis. Watch the documentary "Grass" for a more in depth explanation. Don't you think more people would have these stamps if they were obtainable? Why don't you ask the people over at NORML where to get a stamp?

They never made them. That was the whole gimmick when they legalized it. You had to have the stamps but no one could get them Therefore if you had no stamp it was illegal.

doesnt matter if you have the stamp, you still will get busted with possession
