I don't think there is any way to intentionally disable those on a laptop. So it sounds like they have gone bad. If it is not under warranty you may be out of luck. But you could try Best Buy or CompUSA service departments to see if they can fix it without it costing as much as getting a new laptop.

seem interior the administration panel less than Mouse. click on device settings. Your Touchpad ought to take position there interior the contraptions itemizing. severe gentle the device, now you should take care of to click on the Disable button. If for some reason it isn't listed there, Contol Panel/gadget/device manager scroll all the way down to Moue and different pointing contraptions. click to enhance and your touchpad must be in there. no matter if it isn't then you really don't have one  From there you *might want to* uninstall the drivers yet then in case you needed the pad later you're stuck looking them. maximum laptops have a *warm* key to press to illustrate on and rancid the pad. Mine is "Fn*F7* in case you may want to no longer discover it there , Re-boot and get into the BIOS. There must be a "swap" to run the unit on mouse purely/mouse and touchpad/touchpad purely.
