dill, I'm going nuts with it, its like the taste of summer, my family is getting very sick of it.

Best recipe

flavoured iced water

in a jug of water put in lemon slices and a lot of dill, not chopped though, still on the stem, leave in the fridge over night. Next day refreshing chilled water with the slightest hint of lemon and dill.

Here's one for you... next time you have some people round for a get-together, try a few canapés of salmon pieces topped with mango and herb chutney, with a splash of balsamic vinegar. Great for pre-barbecue nibbles.

Right now (well not this exact second obviously) I'm experimenting with different types of peppers to come up with a sauce which will go well with chicken, pasta, beef, just about anything really!!

One of my new favourites is "ajvar" (pronounced eye-varr). Ajvar is a relish made from bell peppers, aubergine, garlic and chili. While it is predominantly popular in the Balkan region, its origin is more likely Hungarian. It can be bought in any grocery store with an "imported food" department (i.e. Food Basics). Sometimes "Big Lots" has it, too. I LOVE it on pork chops!

Another recent "passion" is SMOKED FISH. I first had it in southern Germany - freshly prepared at a folk festival, I got it wrapped in newspaper. Imagine my surprise when I opened it and found a whole fish - head and all. Delish!!! Now I even buy canned Smoked Tuna Slices in sunflower oil and use it on my salad - the oil is the only dressing I use.

the herb Hyssop brilliant with pork. Open a fillet with a sharp knife fill with finely chopped onion, garlic and hyssop roll and tie with string or fix together with tooth picks, lightly brush with olive oil and bake in the oven for about 35 minutes on 180 to 200 C.
