Soups make with cream or milk rather than water taste better. This is because of the higher fat content. Fat carries flavor in food, thats why things always taste better with grease or butter even though its not good for you.

There some restaurants in the South called
"Sweet Tomatoes" & they have the world's best cream of mushroom soup.
I wished we had one of the them close to us.
Cream soups are just satisfying & more filling & elegant than regular soups.
