I have the non-alcoholic mix for cosmo's, but I can't make them taste right. Anyone have any ideas on how to make them taste like the cosmo's you get from restaurants?

don't use the mix stuff, it's usually too sweet/tart/sour. It's actually easier and cheaper to make your own cosmo from scratch, and it'll taste more restaurant quality:
Mix 1 shot vodka, 1/2 shot triple sec and cranberry juice in a shaker filled with ice. shake 10-15 times and strain into a glass. TADA! you have a fresh, crisp cosmo that would be worthy of sex and the city! Enjoy

The Cosmopolitan is truly one of the world’s most splendid cocktails. A mere sip seems to make everyone more interesting. Sweet, sharp and scintillating the Cosmo is one of our favorites.

1 part seltzer with 1 ½ parts Cosmo Mixer.
(mixer) Orange, cranberry and lime

Combine 1 part seltzer with 1 ½ parts Cosmo Mixer

Add vodka

Put in a shaker with ice, shake it up, then pour into a martini glass with a twist of lime.

Have fun!
