I believe it was created by Hindus to fight the injustice and encounter the atrocities committed by the Muslim invaders of India. I think it served its purpose and is outdated now.

Couldn't this be asked about any number of religions?
Sometimes religions serve purposes beyond their original intent.
And last time I checked, there is still conflict between Pakistan (a predominantly Muslim country) and India. Even within India there is interreligious conflict.
