MARY HAD A LITTLE LAMB

Mary Had a little lamb,
His fleece was white as snow,
And everywhere that Mary went,
The lamb was sure to go.
He followed her to school each day.
Twasn't even in the rule.
He made the children laugh and play.
To have the lamb at school.
And then the rules chanded one day.
Illegal it became.
To bring the Lamb of God to school.
Or even speak his name
Everyday got worse and worse,
And days turned into years.
Instead of hearing children laugh.
We hear gun shots and tears.
What must we do to stop[ the crime,
Thats in our schools today?
Let's let the Lamb come back to school
And teach or kids to pray

Nice poetry...We don't need the Lamb in schools...We need the LION at home. Kids need to be taught RESPECT and that's not happening today. Kids can learn to pray in Sunday School and at Home. Problem with your view is that they'll only get exposure to one belief system and a flawed (I respect it, but it is flawed) one at that. PEACE!

No no no. Keep the Lamb out of school. Teaching our kids to pray is for home and church. You bring in the Lamb you also have to bring in Allah and Buddha and the pagan gods and everybody else's deity as well. Check the Lamb at the door. Don't force the Lamb down people's throats.

Mary had a little lamb
you heard this tale before.
But did you know she passed her plate
and had a little more?

Mary had a little lamb
His fleece was white as snow
And everywhere that Mary went
The lamb was sure to go
He followed her to school one day
She kept Him in her heart
Because she forced her Lamb on no one
Religion did not tear the students apart

Preach it, brother!

UNfortunately if we allowed prayer in schools today, what god would they pray to?
It is the Church and parents job to raise children for the Kingdom.
The catholics did this a long time ago. We are just catching on and starting our own schools. We now have the first generation graduating. Praise G-d!

Parents would be surprised what schools are teaching these precious lambs these days...shame!
Please, please check your schools out, they are being raised to be "yes men" to the world/government, not to an almighty G-d..

PRAISE GOD!!! Thank you, that is probably the best thing I have read on this site. Thanks for the inspiration. Also, remember that anytime you make a statement for the Lord like you did here you will get some people like GirlWonder who will need much prayer. Don't let those people influence others of you who believe that the biggest problem right now is the lack of Christian influence in the schools.

Very insightful! The government not only dropped the ball when they took prayer out of school, they also dropped by not making a way for other people's religion to be represented. By taking God out of the schools, they simply took the short road to a solution. Now look at us!

I don't think taking prayer out of schools has anything to do with violence in schools. That's caused more by bad parenting. Plus, I know a lot of children would feel very hurt and left out if their school started making them do Christian prayers every day.

Lets not as this is a choice and many kids are searching for more truth and not following the Bible. I feel we should let a kid choose their belief and only teach them to live right and treat Earth and others as they want to be treated.
