Less fruit, more (non-starchy) veggies. Stick to lower sugar fruits like berries, tomatoes, peppers, olives, avocadoes etc.

Good question. If sugar is not metabolized, you will gain fat. Some fruits are higher in sugar than others. 5-6 servings may be slightly overkill, but you should choose your fruits wisely. Vary them and try to eat fruits with higher water content and lower glycemic index.
You should really concentrate on getting in those vegetables -- they have higher nutrition content and fewer calories. Especially try to get in some leafy green vegetables.
Just remember two basic things -- the lower the glycemic index of the food, the easier it will be for you to metabolize and burn the energy. Also, just remember that weight gain occurs when your input exceeds your output. If you eat more calories than you burn, you will gain fat. So get some exercise in there too. Good luck.

Natural sugars in fruits are not the same as the sugars in processed foods, so you won't have to worry too much about it turning to fat. You will definitely need to balance it out with the veggies.
While sugar is not the culprit with most fruits and veggies, starch, however, is. So be sure to consume high starch stuff like potatoes and corn, in moderation.

convinced trust a large style of the solutions above. Puree issues, cause them to thrilling, eg, putting greens interior the style of a face or something, try having such issues as a picnic, ie, carrot sticks, and take a seat on a blanket, and invite all the interior sight teddies to hitch in too (hee hee) in basic terms keep attempting all different sorts of vegatables and end result. Make your own variations of quick nutrition, eg if he likes chips, then make some sweet potato chips of your own, etc etc. also attempt to get him to help prepare his nutrition if plausible, this each sometimes can help, and take him with you to the food market, so he can see all the sorts of fruit and veg. also try Annabel Karmel's countless books, she has some fantastic recipies! :) sturdy success.

Sugar does not turn into fat. Fruit and vegetables do not turn into fat. How easy is that?
