i like the dodge ram 2500, it isnt a little wimpy one it is quite the pickup for only a little more, but it is harder on gas. if you want flex fuel u can go with a newer ford, but if u want a mans pickup go with a dodge ram 2500 with a hemi.

i'd say the F-series ford's.. they are cheap to run, very reliable, and fun to drive.
I have a 1996 f-150 and a 1985 f-250 both 4x4
they are a blast in mud and snow, and they will haul wood, dirt, trees, trailers, anything. they are pretty much indestructible.

i should say either ford or subaru but i would recomend the 4wd drivetrain if your an outdoorsmen
