Who is to say that God is the one allowing the suffering? From my point of view, God gave us each the power of free will to do as we please. Those who are suffering *are* suffering because people have abused their gift of free will. We all have the power to stop suffering, the tools given by God to end it, but many choose not to use these gifts properly.

For example, there is plenty of food in the world to go around for those who are impoverished and starving in Africa. But the government there is corrupt, and refuses to allow help to these people.

We have all the resources, provided by God, to feed every mouth in the world. But many choose to work against God's will, resulting in suffering.

In the beginning, Satan enticed Eve into eating the fruit of the tree of good and bad, which was forbidden by God. Eve in turn, gave some to Adam to eat. So suffering began when Adam and Eve sinned against God and therefore lost perfection. Satan also challenged God's sovereignty. He said that humans don't need God to succeed, that they can rule themselves. He said that God's rule is not the best thing for man, and if all the blessings that God bestowed upon man were taken away, man would curse God and not follow Him. God has allowed suffering to continue to give humans a chance to rule themselves if it indeed is better. But, as we all know, mankind has brought about nothing but suffering and death. Soon God will act in behalf of those who subject themselves to his rule. Rev. 21:3,4 says the he will wipe out tears, death, outcry, and pain in the near future.

That question has much to be with the rebellion of the first couple Adan and Eva. Satan lied to Eva by asking if it was true that God prohibited eating from the fruits on the trees and her answer was that from all trees she and Adan could eat but from the tree that was placed in the center of the garden so they did not die. Then, Satan said that they certainly would not die because God knew that on the day they ate, their eyes would open and were like God, knowing the goods and the bad. So Eva desired to act independently from God and did not obey God. You probably think that He could have given them death and created another couple but then it would have put in doubt God's right to govern humans and all his creation in a successfully manner. All this suffering time only proves that men themselves can not guide men and only God has this right, and He is not a liar. If you have more questions you can direct to any Jehovah's witness and ask. I am sorry for my redaction, I do not know much English.

God allows suffering for many reasons but NOT because he feels hatred or dislike towards anyone.
1.) he wants to teach us not to do it again. also if everything went just the way we wanted we would take him for granted but since we have problems we know that we need him and we can go to him for help
2.)He wants us to know what might go wrong and what the consequences are so we can help other people through life so they dont suffer the same problems.
And to answer your first question Yes there is a God.

Man inflicts hardships and suffering on each other. The thing of that is that inaction, meaning not to act on certain matters or causes, is just as bad as actively causing something bad to happen. Jesus allowed Himself to be crucified so that whoever believes in Him will be saved AND help Him by helping others. During the last supper, the last thing Jesus did was wash His disciples feet. He did that to show His humility and also to show the disciples how they should treat not only each, but evryone.

Helping out a fellow human in need would end all this suffering.

Why Does God Permit Suffering?

God's Permission of Suffering
Nears Its End

EVERYWHERE you look, there is suffering. Some people bring it on themselves. They contract sexually transmitted diseases or experience the effects of drug or alcohol abuse or of smoking. Or they may encounter health problems because of poor eating habits. However, much suffering results from factors or events beyond the control of the average person: war, ethnic violence, crime, poverty, famine, disease. Something else that humans basically cannot control is suffering related to aging and death.

There is not cut and dry simple answer to this. Read the story about Job. I don't believe that God does bad things "to" us. A lot of the things we suffer from are a direct result of free will...we made a bad choice. And sometimes we make a good choice and we are rewarded for it. If you believe in God, you have to believe in Satan. Satan is always at work to make people hate God. Do you curse God for something that Satan does? Then maybe God will let you continue to suffer. But if you rebuke Satan and keep your faith, you will most likely be rewarded.

Jesus told us in this life we would have tribulation. It began in the garden of Eden; when Adam and Eve sinned, then the world "fell"...and it's like a snowball effect, it's gathered momentum throughout the ages. What we see around us is a fallen world, steeped in sin.

There is a time coming when God will step in and end this. The bible tells us that He will make swords into plowshares, that the crooked will be made straight, that Jesus will rule and reign in righteousness. But for a little while, those who do not know Jesus Christ as their savior have the opportunity to change their ways. A time is coming when that opportunity will be no more. "Today is the day of salvation".

I know it's hard to look around the world and see these terrible things going on. God loves us. He sent His son to pay for our sins. One day, it will all be put right again.

"Jesus wept" God hates suffering but there is a purpose, In our times of need (weakness) we open ourselves up to the improbable/impossible happening and then God has a chance to show up and show out.

If life was smooth and without storms we would become prideful and forget that God is the one that makes things good for us.

If God didn't let us get hurt we would never learn not to do stupid things i.e. God said do not kill/commit murder. We do it anyway and then have to face the consequences. We suffer and learn why we should not kill. If God just stopped us each time we would never learn why. i.e. hot means nothing to a child until they get burnned.

It hurts God to watch but God knows good will come from it.

People are at enmity with God. They choose to believe in no afterlife. They choose to believe there is total nothingness after there physical form is over here. By choosing these things they in turn will torture and torment each other. Hatred of certain people is not from God but from people. When the Holy Spirit told Phillip to run to the chariot of the Ethiopian the color of the man's skin did not enter Phillip's mind. He did so, to find that the Ethiopian had many questions concerning the scriptures. We as people choose to disobey the simplest of commands given by Jesus, Love your neighbor as yourself. With our disobedience comes the suffering. Our neighbor includes everyone, not just your next door neighbor. We are to have compassion on all. These are the things that is not being done.
