compact installation in which you need to insert a disk everytime or a full installation? I am wondering how much more space I am using when I do full installations.

if you are going to be using the program a lot, use full installation. That way you won't have to install the missing tidbits later on when you start using functions not installed in the program.

If you're not going to use the program a lot, use minimal install and you'll save yourself disk space.

Full installations are better because they make the program run faster and you don't have to go through the hassle of finding CDs. Check how much HD space you have first. If you have more than a few gigs free, then don't hesitate to do full installations.

Since disk memory is so cheap, I always do a full installation. Inserting disks gets old very quickly.

depends, if it something you use often, do a full install if you have the space. a program will always run faster if the source files are on the hard disk instead of on a cd or dvd. there is a considerable amount of buffer/seek time involved.
