This is going to be question that they will ask you somewhere along the application process. Like I tell every applicant that didn't get a job at my facility........

When you go for an interview, think of it as the 'sale of a lifetime'. The sale of YOUR lifetime. You have to sell yourself, so when we ask "What do you bring to the table?", Answer SOMETHING, like,

I am dedicated individual, I possess high morlaes and am of good charecter. I would like to think I bring with me, my education, my willingness to learn and most important, my allegiance to your organzation. I have every intention of expanding on the training you provide and will repay you by becoming the best in my field. I truly want to may this organization, my career"

From what I understand, the requirements for the Police Department aren't too crazy, but in reality can be very difficult.

1.) Clean arrest/criminal record
2.) Clean driving record
3.) Good Credit/Credit Score
4.) Be in good physical shape
5.) No illness or mental problems

First decide whether you have an interest or a passion. Then worry about the guidelines of that specific position. Not everyone is made for the Administration of the Criminal Justice system.
