The "I AM" incidents are interesting.... but when they tried to accuse him of BLASPHEMY there is no mention of him claiming to be God. Perhaps they knew better than to assume that, when he said "I AM", he was invoking the name. If he were invoking the name, he would have been accused for it at that time. Heck, it was even just a few minutes earlier that, when the guards went to take him, he said "I AM". Was he claiming to be God? They didn't seem to think so.
But he did say he is God's son, meaning many things.
A son comes from his father. A son is in the image of his father. A son is an heir to his father. A son is respected as his father. A son carries the same name as his father.
Do you object to any one of these meanings?

The early church was all over the map on this. Some said he was the Son of God, some said he was God, some said he was a great teacher, and so on. When Constantine made Christianity the official religion of the Roman Empire, he ordered the bishops to meet at Nicea to determine the position the official church would take, and to determine which of the many books which were floating around should be included in the New Testament (This is where the Nicean Creed comes from). They were the ones who determined that there was a trinity of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

Jesus said and did a number of things that indicate that he is God's Son. At one point people told him to "Show [them] the Father." Jesus said, "Don't you know me? ...Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father." Basically, he's saying that him and what we call "God the Father" are one and the same.
Now, like some people have suggested in answer to this question, anybody can say "I'm God," and it doesn't make them God. Jesus did a whole ton of things that give some substance to his claims. He performed a huge number of miracles that convinced mostly everyone who saw them that he was the Son of God. (If you look in Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John, you'll find they're full of historical accounts of these miracles.) God himself even spoke out of heaven after Jesus was baptized, and said "This is my Son..." Jesus' wisdom also convinced a lot of people that he was God's Son. Those who talked with him were so amazed, they knew he was something special.
Jesus made some bold claims, and conviced many people through miracles, his actions, his wisdom, and many other means that what he said was true. I'd encourage you to read up on it for yourself!

The Godhead is made up of God the father, God the son and the Holy Ghost/spirit. They are three distinct and separate personages, one in purpose. The Father and the Son have bodies of flesh and bone. Jesus is not only God the father's first born in the spirit world but also His half mortal son on earth, born of Mary after His seed was planted in her by the spirit. If these things are not true, How did the spirit descend upon Jesus like a dove after he was baptized? Who did Jesus pray to, to request that if possible the cup of Crucifixion should pass by him? If He was the supreme God, why would he need to pray to himself to request this? I am not saying Jesus is not our God, because He is, and He sits on the right hand of God the Father.

Go back and read about Moses. "I AM" is a name of God. Whenever Jesus said "I AM', He was saying that He is God. That's why the Pharisees had such a hissy-fit over that one statement. In John while talking to Philip, Jesus told Philip that "The Father and I are one". In the Garden the night before His crucifxion, Jesus prayed to His "Abba" or Daddy.

Jesus is not the son of God... he is a prophet though... People just misunderstand him becuase he used the term "Father" when mentioning God.
If you read the bible there is no single verse where Jesus said he is the Son of God or he is the Flesh and blood of God... If you pay close attention to the prayer "our father" you will know he meant God as the father of all beings and we his children, not just himself!

The term "Son of God" was used metaphorically speaking to those who were godly and pious men. It was never meant to be used literally as the case with Christianity toward Jesus
The Muslim perspective is this: God does not beget sons or daughters as begetting is an animal act reserved for the lower animal functions of sex. Metaphorically, we can all be described as the sons of God as God has created us and He provides for us, but physically He does not beget.
We should first answer this question What is the true word of God about Jesus ? u can find that only in Qur'an the final revelation the only authentic revealed book in the world that has been kept without change
Muslims believe that Jesus was born immaculately, and through the same power which had brought Eve to life and Adam into being without a father or a mother
Truly the likeness of Jesus, in God's sight, is as Adam's likeness; He created him of dust, then said He unto him, "Be", and he was. (Qur'an 3:59).
And when God said. 'O Jesus son of Mary, did you say unto men, "Take me and my mother as gods, apart from God?" He Said, 'To You be Glory! It is not mine to say what I have no right to. If I indeed said it, You knew it, knowing what is within my soul, and I do not know what is within Your soul; You know the things unseen. I only said to them what You did command me: "Serve God, my Lord and your Lord." And I was a witness over them, while I remained among them; but when You did take me to Yourself the Watcher over them; You are the witness of everything. (Quran 5:116,117)
Jesus' giving life to the dead, healing the blind and the lepers All accepted. They were performed through the will of God
Trinity, the divinity of Jesus, the divine son ship of Jesus, and the doctrines of Original Sin and Atonement. All of these were made by men. Jesus prophesied that people would worship him uselessly and believe in doctrines made by men: "But in vain they do worship me teaching for doctrines the commandments of men" (Matthew 15:9).

Jesus needed to be different in order to take upon himself all of our sins... and to withstand the pain of doing so... this would have killed a normal human... but as the Son of God, Jesus was able to withstand the pain... he was also given control over life and death...
