Because some Christians / commandment God believers, feel they need to kill so that they can spread their own religious ' freedoms' eg democratic western culture - ie. in the world environment as is, money is required to make it much easier to 'make your point and have others follow your (in the case of your question) free democratic human right credo' - and if some people are hindering you in that respect, they 'must be' against God and hence need obliterating. because they're stopping you living your (god-given) way.
I don't know why such warmongerer's don't see it from the other side - or rather I think they do but I don't know why we accept such hypocrisy from our leaders, who kill on our behalf. If their truth was so valid, (eg. there's a load of people about to kill huge numbers of us - REALLY, not hype, economics or fear-talk) then surely it would be good for ALL humanity to hear it ?
Is equality only a European (is it U.S.?) Human Right ? Shouldn't communication, and endeavouring to understand difference, be the highest priorities (and £ resource input) for our governments ?

Not much different than the death penalty (only without the trial by jury). We are killing people who are killing people and need to be killed before they kill anyone else...whew!
We are killing them because they killed 2200 innocent people in the world trade center and we are preventing that from happening again.

To quote God correctly...."thou shalt not murder"....
The deaths that occur from engaging in acts of war are not.....
" Murder"... is the premeditated unlawful killing of one human being by another through any action intended to kill or cause grievous bodily harm. Legalised killing, such as genocide, can also constitute murder if it violates international law.(Wikipedia)
Definition of- "self-defense".....
"Self-defense refers to actions taken by a person to defend oneself, one's property or one's home. There is considerable debate amongst individuals as to what constitutes an acceptable level of physical force during self-defense. Some individuals prefer a limited pacifist response, while others advocate means up to and including deadly force, such as firearms". (Wikipedia)
You may want to go to Wikipedia and look up the following definitions for "war","war of liberation" and "police action". Very informative.
Even though death is sure to be an outcome during armed conflict, the "intent" to cause death or bodily harm is not the same as in "murder".
What is "murder" is driving a vehicle with explosives into a crowded public area and detonating it or strapping explosives to oneself and detonating it in a crowded public area or flying airliners into buildings...those who do these acts have carefully considered and have intent, murderous intent, to cause death and bodily harm!!! They are called "terrorists" ....and they are called "martyrs for the faith".... I personally label their actions as "assnine cowards".
Don't worry about offending too many people...most don't believe in God and those who do understand the difference between murder and self-defense/protection. God is not mocked, but mankind sure makes a mockery out of him/herself on a daily basis.

I know its wrong to kill and all...but they (as in the iraqi's, al-quaida..whoever) don't care about killing us!!
That's my opinion....lol.
But the reason why we are over there, is to help them make a government of their own, and show them how to run it. But there are people over there who don't want this help, so they are trying to kill us over there...so we have to fight back...and in those battles, people get killed.
My husband is in the Marines...so I hear about this all the time...and it sucks to know that most of the people over there don't want our help, and try to kill us.
But that is why people are getting killed. We are having to defend ourselves.
I hope I explained this as to where you can understand it. :o)
