Some people put the toilet paper OVER the roll, others put it UNDER. Is there really actually a "correct" way though?

Over is correct. This is an argument w. me & my bf.

I knew that but I also saw in on Oprah.

If you ever stay in nice hotels they fold the starting piece into an arrow. it can only be done if it over.

Probably not, but my theory is this: It's easier to grab the toilet paper if it's hung over the roll, because if it's hung under the roll, it lays against the side of the cabinet or wall or whatever, which can make it hard to grasp.

I heard the Emily Post = over thing too, but as a general rule...if the holder is below or behind my mid-arm I prefer that it's over, I find that it's much easier to reach...if it's in front of me I prefer under...although I have absolutely no idea why...

Who cares what Emily Post says, it's just toilet paper...it won't effect the way you wipe your but!!!

Over. Because it minimizes tears - especially in your guest bathroom. Tears can be unsightly.

I used to prefer UNDER, but now, I see the logic in OVER.

Of course, I am now into putting a bunch of rolls in a cute basket by the WC so that I don't have that 60's roll look on my wall! That's just me!

I always do it over the roll, so you don't have to go searching under for it, and it'll be right on top, easy access, lol... I'm not sure if there is a correct way... I always wondered whether aluminum foil is supposed to go on the shiny side, or the less shiny side, lol.....

Most people say over is best, but if you have children, under is more preferred because it makes it harder for them to unravel the whole roll onto the floor.

It's not a matter of correctness. But merely one's personal preference.
Do whatever ya like. More importantly is the child/male easy load slip on holder! :)

As long as there is toilet paper, I'm good to go - so to speak.

Which do you prefer? I know it is over the top for me.

It is a personal preference. No wrong or right way.
