Atheists aren't the only ones who laugh at the ridiculous antics employed by televangalists to extort money from believers. Between speaking in tongues and pretending to wrestle with the Devil on air, these guys are some of the best entertainment you'll find on some channels.
How anyone can take these jokers seriously, I'll never know.

I actually enjoy watching televangelists, since they're near the top of the Unintentional Comedy Scale.
Watching a televangelist is like reading Ann Coulter. You find yourself continually amazed that someone could be so incredibly stupid, and you find youself wondering just how the preacher is going to outdo himself.

I watch Robert Tilton every time I see him on. What makes his show so funny is that he's actually more over the top than your standard comedian, doing a skit. I actually really do enjoy watching it. It's like a real Saturday Night Live episode.
Another one that's always fun, if you can catch it, is Unarius. It's typically shown on cable access. They have space costumes and everything, when they preach about how the spaceships are coming and such.

No,it's probably wrong for an atheist to even be looking at those religious televangest thingies on t.v.Why would an atheist want to watch one?

I thought I was the only one watching televangelists. I watch to remind me of why I search for the root causes of God belief. I think it is both funny and scary. Is it wrong? That is up to the individual.

Not unless you blame the devil for bad manners that the atheist must have. If it was on the tv - the atheist should have walked away, changed the channel or just kept opinions to him/herself if others were around.

NO.. those con-artist deserve to be laughed at.. i can not believe that anyone actually watches it.. Ron Parsley is just down the road from my house and that place is a mad house anytime church is letting out.. traffic is backed up for miles..

I am catholic and I laugh during some of them because they are so over the top. I would not laugh if I was present, but on TV it seems so ridiculous.

I did laugh when I was watching The Daily Show and this televangelist guy was hitting people with his blazer on-stage and they were passing out.
Did he pay them, are they retarded or are they really that into it? lol
