Sex outside of marriage will remain unacceptable.If two people remain faithful to each other and have no sexual relations outside of marriage then there would be no danger. It is through the breaking of the promise that disease is brought into the picture. So no I do not believe Pope Benedict XVI nor any other Pope in the future will accept this.

I'm catholic and I'm sure he won't.
He is quite conservative and I among many were disappointed that he was elected.
He was the late John Paul II's right-hand-man in many ways and advisor in many matters because of his expertise in theology and also a great friend of his. (That's probably why he was very good at German among the 11 languages he spoke.)
But I'm sure that the current pope will not allow condoms.
He is much too conservative.

Most likely not, the Catholics want lots & lots of little Catholics even if they can't afford to feed them & put shoe's on their feet.

i doubt it. YOU should allow yourself to use condoms. as opposed to asking some sexless old guy for permission

He should but probably never will. I was raised in the Catholic church but stopped attending because the chuch is so behind the times in many things.
