You could be depressed..
But the very best thing to do is get off your backside, and take a step forward.. I don't believe much in pills, but I do however, believe in good friends. If you don't have any, make some.. Find two or three things that interest you, begin them.. and stick to at least one of them. Echinacea is good.. St Johns Wart is good.. but I'd still with taking a multi-vitamin daily.. begin eating 3 sq meals a day, a snack in the afternoon, and one before bedtime.. Set a bedtime and an awake schedule for yourself, (11:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.) and stick to it..
Force yourself to shower every other day day or every third.. for now.. with daily wash-ups..
Think positive of yourself..
Have you finished HS? If not, get a GED.. look for a job..
Join a church - and bible study.. please don't groan.. it's a beginning. you met people, you can socialize for a little time, or longer.. Some churches like Faith Baptist and Assembly of God usually have special days set aside for get togethers, and fun.. single and family..
Thing is.. no one fails, if they take the first step.. and that's what life is about.. one step at a time... every time.
Please don't label yourself needlessly..
Begin first.. by living..

You are only 22! Sounds like depression. That is not necessarily an illness because you could have an actual cause that can be changed or treated. Talk to somebody who is smart and knows you, a teacher, friend, relative, etc. If you go to a mental health worker first, you run the risk of being wrongly diagnosed. Many of these people have very limited ability and some are in the field for the wrong reason. Maybe you just need a kick in the ....

Last time I checked, laziness is not a mental illness. However, depression does carry those symptoms. They also carry sleeping a lot or not enough, switch in emotions, feelings of guilt or worthlessness. A professional would be the best judge on whether or not you have a real problem or if you're just lazy. Remember, the first step to doing something is to WANT to do it.

When things start getting you down do something to change your environment. Move the furniture to get some exercise, get out of the house, do something invigorating. Set goals for yourself and do something that gives you a sense of purpose. You may find that is your purpose in life. Something that brings meaning back into your life. Health and well being are very important. Take care of yourself you are all you really have in this life and life can't be enjoyed if you don't like yourself first. Everyone has a significant purpose in life, find yours and be happy again. Believe it or not, you do matter and are a vital part of this existence we all share. The planet is filled with things to bring you joy and happiness, good things, positive things. Get away from the television and get out and rediscover yourself. If someone has hurt you in the past let them go and grab onto the one and only thing that really matters in this life. YOU

Could be depression. Force yourself to do the things you want and be even more forceful to accomplish these things you know you need to do. Any habit good or bad requires 21 days to establish or break. No one in this world cares more about you and your happiness, health, well-being than you do. Take control! Good health and hygiene is a great start to true happiness!

I think that sounds like depression. See a doctor, there are things that you can get to help. Paxil is what I used to take when I had depression. But there are other meds, plus you can see a counselor if you have it bad. You will be happier if you treat it.

Nope. You just chose to be that way. Sometimes it could be for a specific reason. Try to figure it out and see if you can improve your situation.
