What should I do if my son starts bringing home signs that say homosexuals are going to hell, quoteing the book of Romans. What if my son decides its ok to do damage to an abortion clinic, because he feels abortion is murder and against God's laws.

What if my son wants to go knock on doors and tell people they need Jesus.

Should I do anything about this behavior? He's only 3 right now, but I don't want anything to get out of hand. Any advice?

Instill skepticism and knowledge in him as he grows up, and he won't fall prey to religious delusions. If he does though, take him to the city gates and have him stoned to death.

... oh wait that was the answer to your other question.

Isn't forcing your son or imposing your opinion of Christians on your son, the same as what some atheists claim Christians are doing to the rest of the world? If he starts saying that gays are going to Hell and damaging property, tell him that everyone is entitled to thier own opinion, and that God does not condemn all Homosexuals to hell, and that abortion is a choice that women have the right to make.

(PS- I am a Christian and I belive what the bible says, but I feel very sorry to those of you who think God is some mean old, guy throwing thunderbolts at all "sinners".)

I have two children and I've asked myself this same question (meaning what if they choose to practice a religion that is not the same as mine).

I think the best thing to do is raise them as best you can, show them you would support them in their choices in life. If they want to be christian, let them know it's alright, they have the choice to feel the way they do.

Then make sure you teach them that just because you believe in a certain religion it doesn't give you the right to break the laws set by their fellow man (bombing clinics, harrassing people, etc).

This way, they will not only grow up to know you are a supportive parent but one that will accept them for who they are. And at the same time, know that breaking the law is wrong, even if they don't agree with a certain business practice or lifestyle.

Christian Fundamentalist is an entire contradiction in words!! CHRISTIAN – A follower or believer in Jesus. FUNDAMENTALIST man or woman who believes the Bible is really actual and must be followed precisely. subsequently they're followers of the bible and under no circumstances Jesus making them non Christians!!! yet worse is to adhere to it also makes them ideologists. IDEOLOGY an theory it fairly is fake or held for the incorrect causes yet is assumed with such conviction as to be irrefutable. So Christians have a loving and forgiving god and fundamentalist - properly - only aren't from now on Christians!!!!

If you raise him right, it shouldn't become a problem. You can raise a child to be incredibly tolerant.

My Mom believes abortion is murder, she didn't raise me to think it was okay to go off and kill people. In the end, you have to teach him that everyone has a choice, and doing something like that isn't going to stop abortion from happening... Women would simply go back to using coathangers, if they couldn't get to clinics.

Teach him two wrong's don't make a right. If he's doing HARMLESS stuff, like preaching, that's fine, but things that harm people (and yes, it does harm someone telling them you're going to hell because you're gay) can be avoided by how you raise him

You are so funny. I can only say what I would do, and not make any assumptions about what you would do. But, I let my son (12) make up his own mind about things like that. If he feels it is better to believe and gets that feeling of comfort that the belief in such nonsense gives to many people, I will not try to change his mind. But, if he tries to convert me, he will hear the truth, as I see it, so that he will understand why I and many other people believe otherwise.

Doing damage to abortion clinics or whatever is illegal so the police would do something about your son. Just be tolerant about everything else.

Try and figure out where you went right. Except about the abortion clinic. Abortion is wrong, but so is hurting people and destroying property.

Well son is gonna believe what he does but he is only 3 so will be shaped by you. Nothing you can do but try to teach tolerance, dignity, respect and intelligence to your child and hope that child will turn his back on all that is good and decent by becoming a religious terrorist

Raise your son to be the best person he can be. Be proud of him no matter what happens and love him. Raised right you will not have to worry about him doing wrong...such as bombing clinics. Talk to your son, keep the line of communication open and let him know that he can talk to you about anything...

You're really depraved you know that? Just a minute ago you posted a question says " I'm a good Christian. What should I do if my son becomes a atheist, evolutionist, or homosexual?"

And now you're pretending to be a 'good atheist evolutionist'? WTF is that all about? You need a therapist and their comfortable leather couch.
