It is Canberra, a small city in the Australian Capital Territory. There is a legend that Melbourne and Sydney's respective governors argued about which should be the capital city, so to resolve the argument they built a city directly between the two. Don't know if that true, but Canberra is a bit of a nothing city really. Sydney is much better.

It's Canberra - pretty much half way between Sydney and Melbourne. Supposedly the two cities were fighting over the capital, so they built a new one in the middle of nowhere. It's a bit like Milton Keynes - a bit sterile and odd. I went for a day or two and say the sights, but the other cities are much more worthy of a visit.

you are joking right?
as everyone has said before...its Canberra...
Canberra is the capital city of Australia's smallest territory...the Australian Capital Territory. Its not as big as Sydney or Melbourne but it is a really nice small city with snow in the winter.
