the pup is scaird as it is in a new place. it will take time to settle in but if it starts to whine for your attention just ignor it outher wise it will just wine all of thr time.
if you get a puppy gate when your bussy in one room put up the gate and put the pup in another room there you can see each other and put the pups bed and toys and some food down. let it do it s own thing and if it cries ignor it and when you are finished what you are doing if it is quiet let it out and give it a fuss.
it will soon learn thar nothing bad will happen if it is by its self.
once its use to it it will de able to become more confident and will be happy chilling by its self sometimes

dont try to shoe it off so quick. Think of it as being scared and looking to you for comfort. It has just been ripped from anything or anyone its accustomed to. So let it be your best friend for a few days and once she starts warming up to the rest of her surroundings she'll leave you alone. Trust me I have a 3 yr old shepherd and there are days where I just wish she even noticed I was in the same room with her as I yell at her she's always like "huh...??? me???"

If the puppy was just taken from her mother, she will want to be with you constantly at first. Especially when it's time to sleep. You may need to put her bed next to yours and put your hand next on her so she'll sleep. Try putting a ticking clock or a hot water bottle wrapped in towels next to her in the bed. They miss the warmth of their mothers and their heartbeats. You can slowly wean her off these methods, but it will take time. Eventually, if ignored, she will settle down to sleep in another room. It may seem like she barks and cries for ages, but she will eventually tire herself out. I used to put some peanut butter inside a KONG toy for my dog when he went to bed. That kept him busy until I was in bed and not making noise anymore. As for the rest of the day, i don't know. Dogs tend to want to be in the same room as their owners, and there's nothing wrong with that, as long as she's allowed in those rooms. If not, you'll have to set boundaries immediately.

As sad as if feels the only way is to let it be alone. You can try to do things to help ease it's reaction. A blanket, a radio or TV on for background noise. Just as with a child they just sorta grow out of it. The worse thing to do it "baby" them when they show the bad behavior or they will learn it gets them attention and keep doing it.

You are that puppie's whole world right now.
Step up to the plate and let yourself be loved to death.
Gradually over time the puppy will settle down and begin to feel more secure if you give it tender love and care now while it is young.

It's all about security. She feels "secure" with you bc she trusts you. Awwww.... I crate trained my big boy (1 yr. 120 lbs purebred German Shepherd) There is a security about their own space...she will find hers. I suggest to crate train her for less headaches down the road. GOOD LUCK!

Does she have a crate? Put a yummy, time-consuming treat in the crate and let her go at it. Like a Kong filled with peanut butter and kibble.

she will get independent on her own as she gets older. right now, she is a baby and you are replacing her momma. puppies don't like to be alone

Give it time. It probably is afraid of being abandoned. You are lucky it trusts you and wants to be with you - not the other way around.
