I don't know what the Special K diet is, but I am also struggling with a diet (involves lots of veggies and fruits). And you know what? DON'T GIVE UP!

Imagine how you'll feel when you fit into that dress or suit hanging in the closet...again! Pizza will diminish into.......a packet of fat. Just as it is. Keep up the good work!

Go have your slice of pizza. If you can have only one slice, get it. That is it for the day. Start right back as soon as you get done with that peice.

If I have a plate full of food and then want to stop eating I pour pepper all over it so I won't touch anymore. That is a good way to not overeat.

Have your peice of pizza and then go for a 15 minute walk. Get on track the remainder of the day. Trade the pizza for extra exercise. Just for today. Don't be hard on yourself. You'll enjoy the hard work more when you ease up once in a while. Your doing great. Keep going. HOOOOOOORRRRAYYYYYYY!!!!!!

I would love to tell you something positive and to stick it out, but you flat out fell for a marketing gimmick by Kellogs.
This diet is nothing more than a reduced calory diet. You consume very few cals in the morning and at lunch and while the cereal per se is one of the better ones on the market, you could substitute anything of equivalent caloric value and get the same results.

Have a south beach diet pizza - it's 350 calories - for supper. That'll take the edge off.
(and I'm not advocating south beach, by the way. Only suggesting it because it's low in calories and won't blow your diet out of the water).

OK...think of it this way. Add up the calories in the special K diet...what will you get? About 300 calories for the meal? 300 calories is 300 calories to your body...it doesn't have to be special K, honey! Make yourself a nice turkey sandwich with no mayo and enjoy it. Variety keeps us form blowing diets. Just make sure it's 300 calories. I don't think pizza would be a good idea. But there are lots of 300 calorie meals you can substitute for the special K for a few days until you want to go back to it. good Luck!

I dont know if this is inspiration but are you just eating cereal to lose weight? I went to a dietician and we were discussing this whole "eat this cereal for 2 weeks to lose 10 lbs" and she was not in support of the diet. She was saying that fiber is what keeps us full and most of these cereals "special K" dont even contain that much fiber so it doesnt make you full for a long time. Plus when all you eat is cereal for a meal replacement you are actually depriving your body of real nutrients that your body needs. You are better off drinking meal replacements drinks or shakes. I hooe I didnt rain on your parade but I just would hate to see you starve yourself when you could be eating good food..just food thats good and healthy. You would be amazed how healthy you can eat without starving or living off cereal. Wish you the best!

eat special K and wait 15 minutes until you start to feel full from it, and then allow yourself something like turkey breast or something that is fairly healthy, but different than cereal which can get boring.. you will be pretty full from the cereal so you won't overeat the other thing.. i think it's okay to do this once in a while.. it will help you stay on the special K diet in the long run

good luck

I've heard that recent studies indicate that having one little diet cheat every week helps a person to be able to be a more loyal dieter. And one cheat a week when you think about how your diet was before you started dieting is pretty benign. They also say it should be scheduled as your cheat meal, and never spontaneous... so maybe instead of pizza today, you should plan for something tomorrow?

Stress is bad for losing weight so you need something less torturous. It is mostly NOT your fault, if you need to lose weight. The way you have been taught to eat is responsible for making obesity the number one health problem in the world (according to Atlantic Monthly magazine) replacing hunger and infectious disease. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin. Not a diet, but diet lifestyle.

I know how that can be, Atkins diet tortured me and I needed support at times too.

Think of what you are accomplishing...think of what you have sacrificed so far, and the tough times...are you willing to throw away what you've done the past 9 days for junk food? Is it worth starting over again? No!

Hang in there...pizza and other fun food will be yours again someday (in moderation, as an occasional treat). They aren't forbidden forever...remind yourself of your goal...remind yourself that even though it's not always fun, the reward when you get to where you want to be will be awesome!

You can do it! Hang in there! Think of that junk food as evil poison set out to sabatoge your good work...don't let it win...YOU are stronger...and you will be better off for having resisted!

If you need more support...just holler!
