i believe it is. we all have sinned and will probably sin again before we die. but, if u read the bible, it teaches us not to be afraid (that is, if you truely are saved) only the sinners and unbelievers have things to fear for now. for the believers already know what is going to happen. the world will not get better from here on out. it will only get worse.

Lot's of people think that it is. And people of every generation have been believing that for nearly 2000 years, because the signs are ALWAYS present. But, each has been mistaken so far.

And this is interesting to note "Although the doctrine of the Resurrection of the dead — as taught by Jesus in the Gospels — was common to all Christians and part of the Nicene Creed, little attention was paid to the area of eschatology later known as 'Rapture' until the Protestant Reformation; thus, although Christians from the very beginning accepted, as Scriptures clearly state, that, at some point, the faithful would be "caught up" with Christ, which some in modern eschatology give the name of 'Rapture', the Christian denominations that actually put eschatological emphasis on it are mostly those that appeared after the Reformation."

Name a time when there WASN'T war in the last 2000 years.
Name a time when there WASN'T famine ...
A time when there WASN'T plague ...
A time when there WASN'T death ...

And are the record heats, the deaths caused by them, the power grids failing - all these are caused by God?

Since the religion has a belief in GENESIS, it must also have a belief in the APOCALYPSE. It's called "eschatology" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eschatology ). Such a belief leads to the notion that "with each day, we are that much closer."

Regardless of that, I - and many, many others - believe that "we should be living our lives the right way." Should the fear of damnation be the motivating catalyst for that? Maybe for some - not for me.

But please don't listen to me. I am not one of the "chosen".

I think it's very close.. no one knows for sure when this will happen... not even then angels in heaven will know, until God gives the word... I've tried to read the book of revelations, many times, but was always confused by it.. until I read the Left Behind series. They are very well written, and they give you an idea of the things that will/ may happen during and after the rapture, they follow right along with the book of revelations too.. I recommend those books for anyone..and for those who are nonbelievers in God/Christ... see you at the Judgement.

Much closer than we think. But don't be alarmed for we know that God is in charge. We could not be in more capable hands now and for all eternity. We should be living right whether or not these things are happening. We are in danger of cutting it too close if we try to guess. Come to Jesus while you still have time. I personally don't even think about it because I look forward to the day that I will see Jesus. I don't have a death wish by any means but I feel at peace about whatever happens.

in accordance to what i've got discovered, the rapture can't happen till there's a formation of 10 international locations in the better midsection jap section, of which one among those would be ruled with the aid of the guy who's to alter into the Antichrist. whilst 3 of those international locations bypass to war against him, he will have recognized to have lost, inclusive of his existence, yet at that 2d the spirit of the Antichrist will own him. That possession can't happen till the church is taken out of ways. the construction of the church being taken out of ways is named the Pre-tribulation Rapture.

I do live my life with honesty ,kindness and caring. And thats how I have always lived it. Why do people have to fear thier God and fear the End of the world to live a good life?

No child, it's not the Rapture that is near but rather the Rupture - that's the complete separation of believers from the rational world to a permanent exile inside their fantasy world.

ok so yes i think it is near because this was the topic when i was at church a couple of days ago and it is close considering that Jerusalem is the center of all things in Christ and they are having problems and in the bible it says that idk exactley what it says but when the world starts having a ton of problems and stuff the rapture will happen. and Paul thought we were extremely close 2000 years ago so we are 2000 years closer. although, i really dont want it to happen because i want to live out the end of my life but i just have to keep telling myself that heaven is soo much better than this. it is never too let to repent and live the right life. you are absoluetly right.

For centuries people have looked at their own existence and foretold of the rapture. Literally every generation for years and years and years has feared Armageddon, and it has yet to happen.
Not saying that it's not going to happen, because eventually man will destroy itself through the devils temptations and technology, but people have spent their lives dwelling on it and what do they have to show for it?
We shouldn't need signs to live the right way, and we shouldn't let the fear of total annihilation keep us from living life.

Not even close. Too many things have not happened yet that are the just the signs of the end times. The rapture is part of the actual end times.
