How can this huge amount of misinformation and ignorance still be occurring in our modern age of readily available information and data. I am sick of the arguments they make, and frankly cannot understand how any intelligent human cannot see the truth that is readily available to anyone. Take a trip to a natural science museum. Look at studies of the sockeye salmon changing into two species in only seventy years, or the flu virus doing the same almost yearly. Look at the fossil record showing different species walking the earth at different times, and very few lasting in their specific state, but rather changing into new, and most of the time, better adapted beings. Why does this irrational debate still live on? And even more sad is it is mainly in the US that we see this. Most other countries have accepted these truths. I don't care to debate anyone, so don't e-mail me. There is no debating truth.

I'm mostly sad that the science education in our society is so bad that this stuff is taken seriously. Too many people are willing to believe the contents of a book which was assembled for political reasons and ignore the evidence that the world gives to them.

There are other countries are not even allowed to know about Creation. The fossil records proves nothing. They have things they pull out that say this evolved into a bird! Then dig further and find a bird?! How is that possible you are finding a bird 100,000 years earlier than what it evolved from!! Wow thats smart.
You need to think for yourself and not what was taught to you in school as fact when they have ZERO proof for evolution! They have things in museums that have been shown to be wrong 50 years ago and are still in the museum.
A specie can not make another specie! It is impossible. A mutation is a loss or mixed up info not new info!
Sometimes you need to go back to the beginning to see the truth! I assume you beleive in the theory of the big bang!? This is when a dot this big....yeah back there just one of those periods was spinnning at an incredible rate of speed and then exploded and created the universe! You see there is a problem with even your first effect of this theory! If this dot was spining clockwise and exploded everything in the universe should be spining the same way (the conservation of angular momentum )yet there are 3 planets and 8 moons spining the opposite direction?! Well that turns your big bang into a big dud! It is impossible and can not be explained. I can show you step for step how your theories are inaccurate made up information so that some people can keep their grant money rolling in!

Evolution/creation is just one "front" in the war between the materialist worldview (believe only what science can prove) and the religious one (I believe what I "feel").
It may seem irrational for people to take a creation myth as literal, but what you may not understand or accept is that there are six billion people on this planet and they view the world through a variety of different lenses - and your viewpoint is not exactly right either. You just have a "different" blindspot, and thus you are able to see their folly but not necessarily your own.
So, the issue of creationism vs. science is a red herring and if you are truly searching for truth I would suggest that rather than being bothered by what others believe, focus your scrutiny upon yourself. Start by asking yourself "Why does it bother me so much that others believe something different than I do?" Note that those answers that occur to you first are most likely quite false. Dig deeper and over time to learn why you, personally feel threatened by those who disagree with you.
Note also that the worst scientists (I wouldn't call them scientists at all) are those who simply parrot what has already been proven. The best scientists such as Einstein, DesCartes, Pascal, DaVince, Cupernicus, etc. are those who dared to questions prevailing scientific thought and think well beyond what was accepted by their peers.
If you'd like to read scientific thought that is outside the box in this area (spirituality) I suggest "The Self-Aware Universe" by Amit Goswami. Don't worry, he's a Ph.D. physicist. But he makes a pretty good case that the physical universe is an epi-phenomina (resulted from) consciousness, rather than vice versa.

To answer a few of your questions:
1. Can those two salmon still produce offspring? Creationists do not disagree that animals can change. However, we do not believe that a cat is going to turn into a dog. We believe in change within a kind, but not between kinds.
2. The changes in viruses are not the result of new information in the DNA, but rather either a loss of some information or some viruses aquire DNA from their host. This is not a net gain, but rather just a change in information.
3. How do they determine how old the strata is? Through the fossils. How do they determine how old the fossils are? Through the strata. Each is also attempted to be dated through some form of radio-carbon or strontium dating. However each of these have reliablity issues. http://www.answersingenesis.org/docs2002/carbon_dating.asp
Sorry you don't feel like debating anymore. I won't email you. But I hope you will read. It is definately very unscientific to quit questioning your results and I believe most scientists would take issue with you stating that there is "no debating truth".

Belief in Creationism is a sign of mental illness. Shows what level of insanity you can descend to when you try to explain the real world in terms of myth no matter how patently absurd. Abandon all rational thought processes ye who enter here...

No need to get sad, just be happy that you are on a higher awareness level and allow others to have their experiences, no matter how much it appears rediculous. This is a game, it's not real life, so to each his own, live and let live.

No, I get really sad when I see the lengths people will go just to deny the God who created them.

i completly understand, but no matter how rational or scientifically proven evolution is, youve got to respect people's beliefs. if they choose to be a little less open minded than us, its their choice. creationism is just as rational and obvious to them as evolution is to us.
