they are teeth that come in behind your molars. most people do not have the extra room for them and have to get them removed.

The tooth fairy told me that when you think up things to say (for example on yahoo) be it a question or answer the wisdom tooth provides the stimulant to the brain to do this.

The last molars to come in. They come in late teens/early twenties. Sometimes people don't get them at all.
