Do the people that argue against evolution even understand what it is or how it works?

If I see one more person say they don't believe in evolution because no one has ever seen a monkey (or ape) become human, my head will explode.

Maybe they don't, but maybe we need to be better informed ourselves. I highly recommend the "Evolution 101" podcasts by Dr. Zachary Moore. The lessons are clear and understandable and detail why evolutionary theory both explains the current state of affairs and has predicted findings that later proved to be true (just like Einstein's theory of relativity did years after his death). I wonder the same about people that believe in the Religion of evolution. I have been researching this extensively and can not find one bit of evidence that supports evolution. It is even stated by scientists as being bologna with a lack of any evidence. The fossil data disproves it, information theory disproves it, irreducible complexity disproves it! Darwin himself had questions when he stated his book and stated that the fossil record puzzled him and that it should have more support for his theory...150 years later still nothing. He also mentioned irreducible complexity as something that could/would break down his theory if shown to be true!

Would you believe it if Einstein told you that there is a Creator? He admittedly looked forward to meeting the mind behind the Creator!

You have been brainwashed by the science teachers pounding it into your head that the world evolved over billions of years and yet they have not stated any facts! Think about it where are the facts? If they state something as fact look into ....the fossil record they Say this evolved into a bird! Then a few feet lower in there discovery they find a bird?! How did it evolve into a bird if it is more recent then the bird? Impossible!

Look into it a bit you will have an amazing experience! When you learn the truth it is awesome to sit back and look at where you came from and the lies that had been told to you!

nathanael_beal: you need to actually read the information on evolution. Macro evolution is just micro evolution done over millions of years. There is plenty of fossil records showing this and at least there is some data as opposed to creationism which has 0, zip, zilch, nada, no data. As for genetics you are out of your level and not understanding so pointless to explain how you got that argument wrong.

Ahhhh... the age old argument! Many times I've wondered about evolution and the faith in Creation. I've boiled it all down to one simple thought... How long is a day to God? Everything created in six days, the Bible says. If you combine the theories and principles of science with theology you can surmise that since God is, by definition, infinite.... then how long would a "day" be to a being who exists outside the constraints of time itself? Who can say that God didn't use evolution to "create" mankind? Oh PLEASE! Put away the sharpened stakes and lay down the torches! It's just a thought! Heresy is for the dark ages! Or would someone prefer I dipict it with a cartoon so we can all have a little fun hating each other in the name of God? "Seek the Lord and you shall find Him". I've been looking! That's all! The very statement "I don't believe in evolution" betrays a total lack of understanding of the facts, ideas and concepts. No rational and informed person doesn't "believe" in evolution. I can say I don't believe in sunlight, but the fact of the matter is, I can still see during the day. It's a totally misguided and misinformed approach.

there are two different types of evolution, Macro-Evolution (speciation) and Micro-Evolution.
Micro evolution is the change in the predominance of physical characteristics within a given population of a given species. ALL evidence of evolution that I have ever been shown has been for Micro-Evolution. there is a huge non-logical leap to get from micro to macro-evolution. there is no fossil evidence that shows the transition of one species into another that cannot be more easily explained by the coexistence of two seperate species that did not evolve from one another. all observed mutations have followed the laws of thermodynamics with a net loss in genetic information. you simply cannot get around the fact that entropy does not make an exception for evolution.

Shaz: I have read everything that is presented in all of my biology texts. there is nothing that I have seen in any of them that present a logical leap from micro to macro.
